Past Avatar Update

Quite a while back, in 2011, soon after the customisable avatars became available, I highlighted three which were interesting for different reasons.

Alotta Baggage

Rooli Pelaaja

Morganta

Since then these three players have mostly updated their images so an update was long overdue.

Alotta Baggage
Rather disappointingly Alotta Baggage has ditched the Mimi Bobeck inspired makeup and has gone for a look more subdued.

Rooli Pelaaja

Rooli Pelaaja has stayed much the same except for the addition of sunglasses and some piercings.

Morganta

Finally we have Morganta, who hasn't changed at all.  This will undoubtedly be attributed to some sort of edginess and a hate for CCP, while continuing to use their product every day.

Even more finally, the final final if you wish, we have a group portrait now that CCP have made that easier to do.

Alotta Baggage, Rooli Pelaaja, Morganta

Which reminds me I need to make one of these for my own "crew".

An Odyssey After Caldari Prime

A CCP live event, The Battle for Caldari Prime happened yesterday, apparently.

Once again, not unexpectedly, it was well out of our time zone so participation was poor from our slice of the world.

For OOG reasons I was awake at 5:20am that morning, I logged into Eve while consuming the morning coffee.  I had pre-positioned a character in Luminaire the night before in anticipation of the event.

However the event only lasted an hour and finished between two or three hours before I logged on even at that early time of the day.

It was quite disappointing.

In other Eve Online and CCP news the next patch/expansion name and date has been announced.

It will be called Odyssey (Honda have a car called that in Australia, it's driven by old people or those who've given up on life) and will/should be released on June the 4th.

Details are scarce at the moment, and more will probably been revealed as the year grinds on, but it would seem the D-Scan tool will be given a revamp, either the visual or the security status of some systems will be updated, the usual "little things" changes, updates to the visuals of more ships, and, finally, some more "events" on and around Caldari Prime.

It is also possible some new ships may be making an appearance but why bother when the Drake is such perfection?

That is a joke by the way.

If new ships do appear it will be interesting to see how they shoe horn them into the current roster and what roles they'll take.  They should use some more of the designs from a competition held seemingly eons ago as the output that was generated seems under utilised.

Cheap Target

A guy called Omin Penshar has had kill rights against me for a while, but now, after twenty days, he has made the kill right available to his alliance for a measly fifty thousand ISK.

Fifty thousand ISK!  I was outraged!

However it does make the cost of taking a pot shot at me a nice low barrier for them.

Their alliance only has sixty nine members (and falling) and by the looks of it not much money.

Sort of feel sorry for them.

I'd totally forgotten about this kill, did some kill board research and found out he was in a T1 hauler which I was a very small help on.  We destroyed about ninety million ISK worth of "stuff" and about nine million ISK worth of "stuff" dropped.

The loot fairies were not kind.

I don't recall if we grabbed any of it as it was just the miscellaneous contents of his hanger.

He seems pissed though.

Twirling, Forever Twirling!

You may have noticed, or you may not have, that in the ship hanger you can spin your ship.  After a certain number of spins a counter appears at the bottom of the screen to let you know how many times you've spun your ship.

As this number goes higher so it decreases the chances of you ever getting laid again or gaining new friends.

Sometimes these are one and the same.

Digressing.

What would be cool, also a little stupid, actually quite stupid but also a little cool, is if your full body avatar, which you can also spin, also had a counter appear at the bottom of its screen once you've reached a certain number of spins.

This would serve no real purpose but, in my view, would be compatible with the apparent CCP sense of humour.

Everything Is Moving

The advantage,
Stargates pointing,
Ships arriving and departing,
All angles,
Vastness of space,
Happiness.
