Google Account Suspended

I'd posted my Eve Online 2019 video in review to one of my YouTube accounts, hadn't yet linked it anywhere, but I did notice I'd already received a copyright violation for what I assume was the music?

Thanks CCP?

I'd left it there for a few days doing not very much, and then started noticing in Tweetfleet folks were talking about accounts being banned, seemingly for posting the 2019 Year in Review Eve Online video.

At that stage my account was still working.

I then deleted the video, made a new one with some royalty free music, and uploaded the new version.

A few hours later and I can no longer access that account.

Thanks Google?

I've sent a request to review whatever decision seems to have caused this, but I don't hold out much hope.

I suppose I should start figuring out what else was attached to that account.

Annoying.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Today I was going to record some vocal audio for some sort of Eve Online post.  However to do that I need at least some quiet, I don't need to hear a pin drop, but something approaching that level of sound would be nice.

My neighbours seem to communicate with each other by coughing.  I know when at least one of them is awake by the commencement of a nasty coughing fit, which often culminates with a final dry heave.  During the day they all cough in one way or another, broken only by the occasional shout of something unintelligible, and then more coughing.

I need to look up the definition of pleurisy.

We used to have a small truck visit the neighbourhood and home deliver ice cream, it had a large brass bell at the front that would clang away as it moved down the road.  It used to annoy the ever loving shit out of me each and every Friday, when this useless anachronism of a bygone time would wheeze its way around the streets, clanging away.  I've not heard it in a while.

I fear the next time I hear a vehicle with a clanging bell it'll stop next door and the driver will shout out "Bring out your dead!"

In addition to all that we also have the dog, sometimes two, next door.

The birds.

The wind chime.

Oh, there is the dog again.

Etc, etc.

I'll give it another go later on tonight.

CSM Metagaming Confirmed!

CSM member Olmeca Gold has confirmed, in his view, that none of the current CSM members are using the privileged information provided to them by CCP to meta-game Eve Online.

Nothing to be concerned about then¹.

Raving and Drooling

It is a Murder of Crows.

A Parliament of Owls.

I couldn't care less.

Not, "I could care less".

When did that statement come into common use?

I want to find the little fucktard that first said "I could care less" and nuke that person and everybody around it in a five mile radius.

Yeah I said it.

So today I bumped some ice miners, gathered some tears and Support Ticket creation opportunities.

Good Times!

Tried some PVP with RvB, almost had my arse handed to me by three red dudes who were a bit trigger happy.  What happened to the love guys?  The LOVE?  Oh yeah they were red and I was blue, fine.

Even though my RvB character, icon, player, avatar, WOFTAM, is in an expendable ship I don't like losing them.  It's probably a hold over from the null security days, which seem like many days ago now.

It's really cold here at the moment, well for us it is.  I reach for a jumper if it drops below twenty Celsius.  The last few nights we've had single figures overnight.  That's right people it dropped to nine degrees!  I'm all rugged up as I'm fairly far north in the land of XXXX and the house has no heater, doesn't need one.  Wish it had one now.

On the plus side with the rooms so cool the computer is operating really well...touch wood.

I've jinxed it haven't I?

Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am!

How time flies!  I have a heap of browser tabs lined up to comment on so don't expect well thought out responses or War and Peace length.

Right first up we have:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-20165344

Yes that's right David Braben, yes THAT David Braben of Elite fame is looking to utilise the massive future fraud tool wonderful device that is Kickstarter to fund a sequel to Elite.  Well David we've had a sequel or two from you, they were buggy pieces of shit in the extreme, we now have Eve Online, give it up and design a space ship for CCP or something.

Your work with the Raspberry PI is appreciated though.

Next!

CCP have found some time to gather many but probably not all of the changes due on the 4th of December (2012 for those reading from the future).

http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=73572

It's starting to look like they may be able to create a silk purse from a sows ear after all, however many ship balance changes at once are a worry.

Spin, spin, spin the OP ship wheel, hope you're a winner!

Forum posts are generally terrible with trolls trying to troll trolls who are trolling the trolls back with trolling glee, but one post caught my eye, something I'd been banging on about for a while.

Dynamic Security Status of some description.  Yes good idea, do this.

http://www.vg247.com/2012/11/10/dust-514-and-eve-onlines-worlds-are-going-to-be-connected-slowly-says-ccp/

Well no shit as CCP does everything slowly, except when they don't and it's rubbish.

I'm looking at you AURUM, expensive monocle and Walking In Stations.

Everything about DUST514 is happening slowly, it won't be in full release until the PS5 is available at this rate.

GET IT DONE!

Oh and future people, you still don't have flying cars as the drivers are the problem, not the cars, and sorry we still haven't done anything useful to combat whatever it is you're pissed off at us about.

Charcoal Images of Night

Christmas and all it brings are now behind us for another year.

Eve Online rolls on and by now you should have received your invitation to apply for the DUST514 beta test, if not then head on over to DUST514.com and check out the details there.

The new alliance we are in is embroiled in the war with or against the goons, it matters little.

Every operation is a CTA (which basically means you must be there), at shitty times on shitty days with shitty fleet commanders.

I'm not saying they're incompetent, but if I want to find out how wrinkly a scrotum us I'll inspect my own rather than hear about it in graphic detail from some goonswarm pre-pubescent 'tard who probably doesn't even shave yet.

The time of year also doesn't help, organising this stuff around Christmas and the invasion of interruptions that attracts is insane.

Though it'll be the same for the other side.

I've hardly seen the front line as I seem to be perpetually just behind it.

I hear the battle reports, listen to the tense combat on comms, watch some ships limp back from the battle, some of them on fire, and then have to log for some RL activity that seems to have little to do with mirth and more with endurance.

Now I'm off to attend some meeting with more endlessly talking meat bags who'll try and convince me that 2012 will be a great year, certainly better than 2011.

Happy new year.
